One Sunday after church my family stopped at the town History Museum, and we looked at pictures of Granite Falls from the past. There was a new car dealer, a movie theater, a Belk department store; pretty much anything that you needed to never have to leave.
I started thinking to myself what happened and what needs to be done to bring back that Granite Falls.
That is the reason I am running for Mayor; To Make Granite Great Again. To make our town the best place to live in the area. To make a place that our children can be proud to say that they came from and make them never want to move away. To make Granite Falls the best version of itself that it can be.
How do we get back to the Granite Falls of the past. Get businesses back downtown, give our townspeople a central place to gather and support one another; a reason not to take the highway past the town but want to drive down Mainstreet. The coming growth needs to happen cautiously, with the towns best interest in mind. I make a promise to work with our local towns, the county and state to bring funding to help make improvements, attract new industry, lower taxes, address the homeless problem, and work to get programs to help business owners with revitalizing their businesses. Be a leader to help bring everyone together.
Vote for Bill, someone who is a part of the community, whose children go to Granite Falls schools, swim on the town swimming team, are Cub Scouts and use the playgrounds. Let’s Make Granite Great Together.
